Engagement: Commitment to the learning outcomes and purpose of the course. Commitment to the team. Going above and beyond what is required of the course. Demonstrate curiosity (maybe the unique part of BME). It may look like helping others to understand the content. Engagement requires more back and forth between student and instructor. Requires a level of care. Students who are engaged in teams take ownership over the decision-making.
