Peer-mentorship

  • Pre-college students are often unaware of the opportunities available in Physics.

  • Formal introduction in High School is limited as many students avoid Physics and other “hard” classes.

  • Physics and other STEM related students in college/university are the best ambassadors.

  • Trained by their professor college students can become peer-mentors, developing a long-lasting relationship with their mentees.

Outcomes

Student Members of The Hub will develop skills that allow them to navigate the intricacies of modern society by using their “out of school” time in a positive and productive way. There are two ways to assess these outcomes. One is to see members not getting in trouble and the other is to see members integrate productively into society.
