�Linking Parameters Guide
for Logic Pro native devices and third party plugins
How to link a Logic native device or third party plugin
1. Load a device in Logic�
2. Select it from the control surface
3. Click on the Link Parameters button�
4. Click on an encoder to show the green trail
5. Click on the parameters you want to link, one after the other with an interval of about 1 second.�It will link one after the other on the next encoder. It links parameters clockwise.
6. Once done, click on the "Link Parameters" to stop linking.�
7. Click "Save As" and save it as the exact name as it appears on the control surface.
8. Right click in the center of the slider and select a color.
Repeat for each slider. � Click Save.
9. Take a screenshot of the device (see next slide) to appear as a background

A screenshot of the device can appear as a low opacity background on a preset.

Linking Parameter via the Parameters List
It will be linked on the encoder.
To link more parameters double click on each and �they will be linked to the next encoder and so on.
Linking more complex devices
Linking Buttons
Buttons are hidden. To show a button right click on the button area. See video

Buttons can be Push or Toggle.
The following Push Option can be used in case the target parameter is a button and has more than one state.
For example a triple switch: Low, Mid, Hi
This will send increment values every time causing the switch to go to the next state of the parameter.
General rules for linking parameters
You need to press the Link Parameters button (stops blinkings) in order to control parameters.
