What is Unrulr?

  • Unrulr is a social learning app that makes your growth visible throughout your educational journey
  • Traits & Skills “Cogs” - You can tag traits and skills in your posts
  • Prompts - A teacher may ask you to reply to a PROMPT they create, in which they can tag a trait(s)/skills(s)
  • Content - You can also create your own original posts (called “build a moment”) to demonstrate growth and to track a specific trait or skill.
  • Build a Journey - You can connect several moments (posts) to demonstrate growth over a period of time (ex: a class project or capstone project)

Be Responsible

  • Because this is a social app experience, you will have a level of flexibility and creativity over the content you post.
  • Also remember that Unrulr is a place track your learning and growth in a professional learning environment.
  • Be appropriate with the images and words you choose, and ensure they support the moment you’re trying to build. Be supportive and constructive when commenting on others’ posts.
  • If you come across a post you feel is not ok: locate the three dots to the right of a person’s name, click, and click again on MODERATE. This will bring the post to your teacher’s attention, and your teacher will be sure to examine the post and address it with the student, if needs be.

Unrulr App

Check with your parents/guardians about installing the Unrulr app on your phone tonight.

We’ll be using Unrulr continuously throughout the year across all classes to create a portfolio of your educational growth and experiences. Having the app on your phone with access to your own photos will become quite helpful.
