Class Reps Role and Responsibilities

Responsibility #3

Welcome new parents/carers and co-ordinate socials

Please be proactive in welcoming new families to the class as this is vital for inclusion for both parents and pupils into the school and the PTFA. Social events such as coffee mornings or drinks evenings are a great way for parents to get to know each other.

Make sure you deliver teacher and school messages to parents. Help the teacher with parental support recruitment for trips. Normally reps coordinate voluntary collection for a cards and gifts for the teacher and TAs at the end of the school year.

Responsibility #4

Act as liaison between the class teacher and parents/carers

Class Reps Role and Responsibilities

Responsibility #5

Encourage parents/carers to take an active role in t the the PTFA

Each class would need to run a stall in the Christmas Bazaar and Summer Fete. We ask you to encourage parents to participate as it is not assumed that only Reps run and coordinate the stalls.

Every class needs to organise one fundraiser during the school year. Contact classfundraiser@honeywelltptfa.org.uk for advice and proposal list

Year 6 Reps are responsible for organising the leavers’ BBQ party, hoodies, yearbook, and programme for the show and will have specific support on these from the PTFA Committee.
