FAQs
Are there any other changes to functionality that I should be aware of? | Yes, we recommend that you review the detailed change log document linked in the first slide before you decide to upgrade |
What should I do to upgrade to the new version? | Reach out to support@chargebee.com and request for an upgrade to this version. Our support will guide you through the entire process |
Is there any migration involved? | Yes, a one time migration is involved which will migrate all your settings to the new dashboard in Salesforce and resynchronize historic data- an overview of the migration process is provided in the change log documentation linked earlier |
Is the upgrade/migration disruptive? | We’ve taken great care to ensure that there is as little disruption to your business as possible. Upon upgrade, the migration can be initiated by you with a single click from the new dashboard in Salesforce, as per your convenience. The migration itself can take from an hour to a few hours (it depends on the amount of Chargebee data available to sync - benchmarks are provided in the change log documentation). During this time, you may continue regular usage of Salesforce, but sync can only resume after the migration is complete |
How long do I have until I need to upgrade to this package? What is the end of life for older releases? | End of life for older versions is planned at 30-Jul-2021 |
What happens when we hit end of life and are still on an older version? | Any bugs or issues on older versions will no longer be supported by our engineering team, even if they are business critical. New feature development will only be on top of the latest supported package versions |
