We resolve to follow Jesus;

Live the love we see in him;

He has words to give life purpose,

When our life is kind or grim;

We would follow in his footsteps;

In them try to plant our own;

In them try to plant our own.

We will never find this easy;

Has he set ‘the bar’ too high?

Jesus said to love each other;

We fear what this might imply;

He has pointed to God’s kingdom;

Not in heaven but on earth;

Not in heaven but on earth.

If God’s kingdom should transpire

It will only come to be

When we love both God and neighbour,

Showing love consistently;

Then the beauty of the sacred

Will be here for all to see;

Will be here for all to see.
