Tryout Details

  • Application by Google Form (open after tryout meeting) - Due by 3:30 pm Wednesday, March 5, 2025
    • $50 Fee
    • 1st semester grades
  • Tryout Clinic: March 11th and 12th - Spartan Arena 3:30-5:30 pm
  • Mock Tryouts- March 13th - Dance Room 3:30-5:30 pm
  • Tryouts: March 14th - Dance Room - 4pm

Teacher Evaluations

*Please note that this reflects one judge’s score sheet and one teacher’s evaluation. We will have 3 scoring judges, each giving a score out of 185 points. The four teachers will each give a score out of 25 points, for a possible 100, giving each participant a total of 655 possible points from the combined 3 judges’ scores and 4 teacher recommendations.

Teachers will rate students on a 5-point scale, 1-below average and 5-excellent, based on the following criteria:

(100 points possible – 4 teacher evaluations, 25 points each)

  • Attendance & Punctuality
  • Dependability & Responsibility
  • Ability to Manage Time
  • Integrity & Maturity, especially when reacting to a setback
  • Ability to get along well with and respect peers and teachers

  • Attendance - complete google form before you leave tonight
  • Read entire Tryout Packet, Constitution, Rules/Penalties
  • Email Mrs. Svetlay with any questions
  • Talk to teachers whom you plan to ask for an evaluation
  • Submit by 3:30 pm March 5th:
    • Application - google form
    • $50 fee - online payment
