STRAVA

Strava is an app born in 2009. Thanks to its gps tracking, users can track their sports activities such as cycling, running, walking or swinging.

The app also offers the ability to record personal data during activities such as speed, altitude and heart rate.

This app is divided into 5 groups: Home, Maps, Register, Groups and the part dedicated to the personal account.

In the next slide we are going to explain all the parts.

With Strava you can record, monitor, and analyze all of your tracks. It doesn’t matter what sport you were doing, now, all your steps and breaths could be traced. Connect a watch or computer with GPS

Select your device manufacturer from the list,

to connect to your Strava account,

and upload activities to Strava from the device.

Maps

In this section you have some functions, for example:�- Segments and path: here you can find custom segments and path suggestions.

- Saved: this is your personal area with your saved path, favourites segments and record.

Register

The third section is dedicated to the registration of your sports activities.

When you open this part, you see a map of your country or your position (if gps is on) in 2D like the picture shows.

This page offers many options for users. We can divide them into three parts

At the top there are two options, the first on the left to close the page, on the right to open the setting about audio, display or to connect sensors.

In the medium part. There are three option for the user. Thank the first the user can choose which type of maps he wants. In the second if 3D or 2D and the third offers to the user the possibility to download the path

Here the user can choose the type of sport

In this part you can add a heart sensor

In this part the user can share a Beacon with up to three friends. Thanks to this, his friends can know his location, for more safety

Groups

The fourth section is about “Groups”, that is the side of the app where you can actively play Strava with friends, family and the world.

Groups slide splits into 3 parts:

  • ACTIVE
  • CHALLENGE
  • CLUBS

To be more active in the app, Strava gives you the opportunity to participate to challenges. In this section “active” you can see the challenges that you choice to start and the upcoming ones.

The challenges slide offer a big view on all this group part. Here you can find the challenge you desire, searching it by the all sports, distance, time et cetera… Strava takes your statistics and skills to recommend the best challenge for you, too. Another great Strava’s pill is the opportunity to create your group challenge and play it with friends.

Last groups piece concerns clubs, where you can find a group of people doing fitness together… And you can join with them!
