Why?

• drag & drop utility
• boxes w. text, images & coding -- easily combined
• design previewed instantly
• field codes drop down menu integrated for text area
• possible to easily add your custom fields

• insert pictures stored locally on your computer (Edit - Preferences: select folder), and have them previewed in VPST file
• provide exact picture name from your PowerSchool server

What is this all about?

• Selecting the tool from the tool box �(or copying from an existing report you already have)
• Holding and releasing the mouse button
• Selecting fields (and writing some code :))
• Save and import report template
• Print report

Note:

• Editing the changes in the report template (the VPST file) -- you can do it two ways:
• directly in PowerSchool in your System Reports - Objects Reports list�or:
• in the VPST file, BUT: it will not override the existing version, but duplicate the report in your list (delete older version, then import)
• Report Template Name you define in:

Report - Settings

• VPST File Name you define by:

File - Save As

Possible drawbacks

• Special accents (known issue in PowerSchool) will not print in a PDF
• One needs to import every file version in order to preview result
• You might need to adjust your OS to US numeric system (otherwise the margins will be off and the file will not import correctly)
