Rules Regulations to be followed strictly in Physiology

1. Punctuality

  • Students must arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled time for each lecture / practical.

  • Late entry (even by a few minutes) is not permitted and will result in being marked absent for the session.

  • Once the faculty enters the classroom / laboratory, the doors will be closed.

2. Attendance Policy

  • 75% attendance is mandatory as per NMC guidelines

  • Any violation of the rules listed below will result in 'absent' marking for that particular lecture, regardless of physical presence.

3. Mobile Phones & Electronic Gadgets

  • All mobile phones, smart watches, earphones, and other gadgets must be switched off or kept in silent mode and placed inside bags during the entire lecture

  • Usage of phones, even for notes or scanning QR codes, is strictly prohibited unless explicitly permitted by the faculty for academic activity.

  • First-time offenders will be warned; repeat violations will be reported to the Academic Coordinator and disciplinary action will follow.

4. Sleep and Inattention

  • Students found dozing off, resting heads on benches or closing eyes during the lecture will be considered unfit for learning and marked absent.

  • The faculty reserves the right to question and remove inattentive students from the class.

5. Discipline and Decorum

  • Talking or whispering with neighbors or disturbing others during class is not allowed.
  • Students are expected to maintain professional behavior inside the classroom at all times.
  • Questioning or discussion is encouraged only when relevant and permitted by faculty.

6. Dress Code & Identity

  • Students must be in formal attire with apron and carry their college ID cards during every session.
  • Improper attire will lead to denial of entry and marking absent.
  • Nails should be neatly trimmed.

7. General Health & Fitness for Class

  • Students are expected to come to class mentally alert and physically presentable.

  • If a student is unwell or sleep-deprived to the point of dysfunction, they are advised to take rest and report absence rather than be disruptive.

8. Assignments & Records

  • Students are expected to submit their Assignments / Practical records / AETCOM book / Log book on or before the deadline.
  • Submission beyond the deadline will not be accepted.
  • No questions will be asked about noncompliance.
  • No reminders will be given.
  • But, non-submission / late submission will result in reduction of internal marks.

9. Consequences for Violations

  • Any violation of the above rules will result in:
  • Immediate marking of absence
  • Reporting to the Year In-Charge / Academic Coordinator / VP / Dean
  • Possible reduction of internal marks in repeated cases

10. Exam hall decorum

  • Any kind of malpractice (possessing or using mobile or gadgets in exam hall, unauthorized materials, borrowing stationaries, talking to neighbors, copying, exchange of papers, etc.. ) in exam will lead to strict disciplinary actions.
  • Found to be involved in any malpractice, the students will not be allowed to continue to write the exam and will be awarded zero, irrespective of the contents written in the paper.
