Screen-Lite Wednesday

In addition to the above schedules, each Wednesday, beginning 4/20/2020, we will be implementing “Screen-Lite Wednesday.”

All teachers will post assignments no later than Tuesday afternoon by 3:15 PM that can be downloaded or completed with very minimal screen-time on Wednesdays. Assignments can include such options as hands-on activities, reading, journaling, math on paper, outdoor movement activities, chemistry in the kitchen, etc.
On Wednesdays, teachers will engage in the following activities: planning lessons, collaborating with colleagues, providing student feedback, etc.
In addition, for one hour of the day, teachers will provide open office hours for students to ask questions (Allied Arts/Special Education 9:00 - 10:00; Cluster/Reading & Math Specialists 10:00 - 11:00).
At the middle school and high school, the day rotation will stop and pick up the next day. So if Wednesday was a day 5, Thursday becomes a day 5 that week.

Screen-Lite Wednesday Schedule

Student Responsibility

Continue to check into homeroom each morning.

Continue to follow our BMS Distance Learning Expectations.

Check in with your teachers during FAST Office Hours/Special Office Hours if you have questions regarding your academics.

Report to FAST Office Hours/Special Office Hours if requested by your teachers.

Communicate to your teachers/trusted adults if you feel you are still having too much screen time and/or overwhelmed.
