What will OWH look like this winter?

• TBD!
• Oxford Winter House planning committee has submitted a grant proposal to the city for the 2026-2027 Winter season (4 months)
• Plans are underway to form a 501c3 non-profit to be responsible for oversight of OWH.
• Hopefully, a Director will be hired to implement plans made by the Board of the OWH 501c3.

Possibilities:

​

• Ensure Transitional Housing or voucher-based housing with services is available in Oxford (study the HIT Foundation model, check in on Landlord incentive programs, advocate for this!)

​

• Ensure mental health services are readily available in Oxford (work with Coalition for Healthy Community, advocate for this!)

​

• Ensure Addiction Recovery Service and Peer Supports are readily available in Oxford (att Lane Library and ??other locations, aocate for this!)

​

​

• Explore expanding Welcome Baskets to a Welcome Furniture program for those newly housed to help folks STAY housed.

​
