Excused Absences/ Tardies

Unexcused Absences/ Tardies

  • Illness: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, communicable or contagious disease, pink eye, strep throat, rash
  • Medical or dental appointments which cannot be arranged outside of school hours
  • Religious observations
  • Mental or behavioral health day (up to 5 non-consecutive days)
  • Family circumstances (death or severe illness, court)
  • Vacations
  • Overslept
  • Missed the bus
  • Transportation issues
  • Sporting events/tournaments (unless school sponsored)
  • No reason provided by parent

A Parent note WILL NOT excuse a student under these circumstances.

Doctor’s notes required for the following:

  • More than 3 consecutive days of illness
  • Communicable or contagious disease, pink eye, strep throat and rash

Vacation Homework: Students will be given make-up work upon return from vacations. Assignments are not available in advance.

  • Have ID ready if you are someone new!
  • Use parent pick up loop on the east parking lot.
  • Remain in your car.
  • Your child will receive a schedule card.
    • Child’s name, bus number, pick up/ drop off location & time
  • Parent must be present at bus stop in order for child to be dropped up/ picked up

All transportation changes have to be done by 2:00pm.

Cubby Essentials

    • Must have an art smock labeled with your child’s name.
    • Avoid buttons/Use an old oversized shirt
  • Gym Class
    • Students must have a pair of rubber soled shoes.
  • Just in case…
    • Accidents happen so we ask to please keep a change of clothes in a bag labeled with your child’s name.

Reminder that smart watches (including Gizmos) and phones are not worn at school. Students will be asked to take it off before entering the classroom. They can put it back on before leaving.
