For a school project, each student grew a bean plant and measured and recorded how tall it was after one week. Below are their results in meters:
If their teacher gives out a reward for tallest, 2nd tallest, and 3rd tallest plants, who would get 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place? Explain your reasoning with words, pictures, or numbers.
Your teacher also grew her own plant. Her plant was taller than Charlie’s but shorter than Luca’s plant. What are two possible heights of her plant?

Task 5.2b Two: The Greatest Leftovers
For their final project, each student in Ms. Wu’s class was given 2 yards of fabric and told to make anything they wanted with it. They could use as little or as much fabric as they wished. Below is how many yards of fabric each student had left over after they made their project.
Order the fractions from greatest amount of fabric leftover to least amount left over. Explain your reasoning with words, pictures, or numbers.
Your teacher also made a project and had more leftover fabric than Arjun but less fabric than Isabella. How much leftover fabric could your teacher have had?
