About Pre-Calculus Honors

  • This is an accelerated Pre-Calculus course designed to deepen understanding of functions introduced in Algebra 2, while expanding knowledge to include more advanced mathematical concepts

  • Students explore a variety of relations that do not meet the criteria of functions, engage with foundational topics in discrete mathematics, and begin studying introductory Calculus concepts to prepare for Calculus BC

  • A strong grasp of key Algebra 2 topics is essential

  • Success in this course requires active participation, the ability to advocate for their own learning, higher-level thinking skills, consistent work habits, and a meaningful engagement with mathematical concepts.
