How to examine my motives?
1-Only God knows our depths:
“ Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties;.- And see if [there is any] wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting” (Ps 139: 23, 24)
"اختبرني يا الله و اعرف قلبي امتحني و اعرف افكاري. و انظر ان كان في طريق باطل و اهدني طريقا ابديا" (مز139 : 23و24)
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Ps 51 : 10)
قلبا نقيا اخلق في يا الله و روحا مستقيما جدد في داخلي (مز51: 10)

اسمع المشورة و اقبل التاديب لكي تكون حكيما في اخرتك.(أم 19 : 20)

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what [is] that good and acceptable and perfect will of God".(Rom 12:2)
تغيروا عن شكلكم بتجديد اذهانكم لتختبروا ما هي ارادة الله الصالحة المرضية الكاملة.(رو12: 2)
Within are our thoughts, feelings, intentions, plans, and their deeper sources, whatever those may be.
Let the thought of light shine with in us and let not the darkness of pain cover us. (Morning Praises)

CBT is the therapy that deals with thoughts aiming to change the behavior .
CBT aims to help people become aware of when they make negative interpretations ,
And of behavioral patterns which reinforce the distorted thinking .
Repetitive examination will lead to my core belief
Identifying maladaptive thoughts and beliefs
Automatic Thoughts
Intermediate beliefs
Dysfunctional core beliefs
Identifying maladaptive thoughts is the first step .
An intervention targeting automatic thoughts may also change underlying beliefs .
