**และทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างที่อยู่รอบตัวเรา**

Uncountable noun
(คำนามนับไม่ได้)
Countable noun
(คำนามนับได้)
คือ คำนามที่เราสามารถนับและระบุจำนวนได้อย่างชัดเจน สามารถอยู่ได้ ทั้งในรูปของเอกพจน์ หรือ พหูพจน์ หากอยู่ในรูปเอกพจน์ คำนามเหล่านี้มักจะใช้ Article (a, an) นำหน้า
แต่หากอยู่ในรูปพหูพจน์ ส่วนใหญ่มักจะเติม s,es
ลงท้ายคำนาม

คือ คำนามนับได้ที่มีเพียงสิ่งเดียว
อันเดียว หนึ่งเดียว มักจะมี a/an นำหน้า เช่น a flower an ant
คำนามนับได้พหูพจน์ (Plural noun)
คือ คำนามนับได้ที่มีมากกว่าหนึ่ง หรือตั้งแต่ 2 ขึ้นไป มักจะเติม s/es ลงท้ายคำนาม เช่น two flowers

หลักการเปลี่ยนคำนามเอกพจน์เป็นคำนามพหูพจน์
1. คำนามทั่วไปเติม s ได้เลย
เช่น a bell - bells
a desk - desks
2. คำนามที่ลงท้ายด้วย s,ss,sh,ch,x,z เติม es
เช่น a box - boxes
a bus - buses
a watch - watches
หลักการเปลี่ยนคำนามเอกพจน์เป็นคำนามพหูพจน์
3. คำนามที่ลงท้ายด้วย y หน้า y เป็นพยัญชนะ ตัด y เติม ies
เช่น a fly - flies
a lady – ladies
**หน้า y เป็น สระ a,e,i,o,u เติม s ได้เลย
เช่น a day - days
a toy - toys

4. คำนามที่ลงท้ายด้วย o หน้า o เป็นพยัญชนะ เติม es
เช่น a mango – mangoes
**คำนามที่ลงท้ายด้วย o หน้า o เป็นสระ a,e,i,o,u เติม s
เช่น a bamboo - bamboos
a radio - radios
หลักการเปลี่ยนคำนามเอกพจน์เป็นคำนามพหูพจน์
5. คำนามที่ลงท้ายด้วย f, fe ตัด f, fe เติม ves
เช่น a leaf - leaves
a wife - wives
6. คำนามเปลี่ยนรูป
เช่น a man - men
a child - children
a tooth - teeth
a foot - feet
an ox - oxen
a mouse - mice

8. คำบางคำเป็นพหูพจน์เสมอ
เช่น people, police
