We are learning:

English & Language Arts: We will be digging into vocabulary, answering nonfiction text questions, and starting our informational writing as we read Off to Class. The students will be learning how to write a multiparagraph piece of writing that includes a focus paragraph, 3 detail paragraphs and a conclusion paragraph. In Letterland, our spelling patterns during the week of Oct 19th will be magic E with the long vowel a_e and i_e (bike, came, etc). During the week of Oct 26th, we will be focusing on all long vowels with magic E and soft ce (face, nice, ect) Don’t forget to practice the word pattern and not just memorize individual words :)

Math: We will be finishing our decomposing and composing numbers to solve 2 digit addition equations. We will then start our word problems unit.

Social Studies: We will be starting our Maps Unit. We will be discussing the various types of maps as well parts of a map.

-I hope everyone was able to relax and regroup during track out!

Please take note that the Board added in one Remote Learning day each week for student and teachers to catch up on work. There will be NO live instruction on these days, but some assignments will be posted.

-PLEASE have the children send in as much raw work as possible. I am only able to adjust our lessons when I know students are struggling on various topics. Our work and assessments are not meant to be a judgement on parents or student character, just informs our next steps to be sure we EVERY student is successful! 🏫🍎📝
