Charley Murphy Combined 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Class.

Hello! I am very happy to be teaching my first year here at Voznesenka School! I have felt very welcomed by all of the students and staff, and am hoping to have a positive impact with the families.

This year has started off great and is only getting better! With the class being a combination of 3 different grades I have been doing my best to make sure each student is receiving the best education they deserve and I am meeting them at their level. For this I have split the students into groups especially for reading and math.

We have been working on our reading, writing, and math skills everyday.

We switch which days we are doing science and social studies. The students have made requests to do animal research for science so be on the look out for this project to start in the next month or 2.

I can be contacted through email. cmurphy@kpbsd.k12.ak.us

Voz Preschool Newsletter

September 2022 - It’s already been a great start in preschool! In the first few months of preschool are going to be learning about Me and My School. We will be learning about students and their role as a learner and friend at Voznesenka school. Each newsletter I’ll focus on a different part of the preschool day and why it is important. First up, everyone’s favorite - centers. During centers, each preschooler will get to choose what they would like to do. They may choose from activities like blocks, art, building with manipulatives like legos or tiles, or dramatic play with kitchen and dress up clothes and more! Skills such as sharing, planning, pretending/storytelling are learned with the help and guidance of Anfisa and Annie. Students develop more strength in their fingers for writing and while they are playing we talk about what colors, shapes and letters they may be using. Some centers change weekly and some will stay the same all year. Take a look at some of our centers ->
