WHAT IS SENIOR TRIP FOR WHS?

  • The Senior Trip is one of the ways in which Principal Jackson celebrates the graduating class.
  • It is incredibly exciting, as a senior, to go on a road trip with the friends you have been with for your four years of high school. You have built special bonds with these people, and Senior Trip is an amazing opportunity to create even more memories with them.

WHEN WILL THE SENIOR TRIP TAKE PLACE?

The Class of 2026 will depart WHS on April 17th and will be returning to WHS on April 19th.

WHAT IS THE ITINERARY?

FRIDAY  April 17, 2026

  • Students arrive at WHS Aux gym at 6:45 am for bag check in.
  • 8:00 AM   Depart Woodland High School in Stockbridge, GA.
  • Meals and rest stops on your own en route.
  • 1:00PM Approximate time of arrival in Gatlinburg, Tennessee
    • Anakeensta
    • Dinner and Entertainment.
  • Check-in and prepare for bed.

  • Q. What is the cost of the Senior Trip?
  • Answer. The total cost of the trip is $767 dollars. It includes transportation, lodging, theme parks and 4 meals.

  • Q. When are payments for the Senior Trip due?
  • Answer - Five Total Payments

1st Two Payments $190

      • Oct. 9th
      • Nov. 6th

Three Payments- $129

      • Dec. 3rd
      • Jan. 8th
      • Feb. 19th

  • Q. How much money should students bring on the Senior Trip? 
  • Answer: All of the activities and the majority of the meals are included in the fees for the senior trip. Students will need money for meals traveling to and from Gatlinburg.
  • Q: Will the group be making stops while traveling to and from Gatlinburg?
  • Answer: Yes. The group will be stopping for food and restroom breaks along the way.

  • Q: Can the trip be paid in full?
  • Answer: Yes. There is an option on WeTravel to pay in full. The link will be available now.
  • Q: How many students are allowed to go on the Senior Trip?
  • Answer: 80 students. Spots are limited and they are filling fast.

  • Q: What adults are in charge?
  • Answer: The chaperones are several WHS teachers and staff members. Administrations will be attending as well.
  • Q: What is the discipline policy?
  • Answer: Students must adhere to the Henry County Schools Student Disciplinary Handbook.

  • Q. How are roommates chosen?
  • Answer: As the trip approaches, students will complete a Google Form to select their roommates. However, sponsors and administrators make final rooming decisions.
  • Will males and females have separate room assignments?
  • Answer: Absolutely! Young men and young ladies will have separate rooms. The students will have more than enough time to intermingle outside of their rooms. Chaperones and Hotel security will be present on the floors each night.

  • Answer: There will be security in the hotel specifically focused on Woodland’s Students.
  • Is there a dress code?
  • Answer: For most venues, student must keep in mind that this is a school sanctioned trip.

  • Answer. There will be four students assigned to each room.

  • Answer. 3 star or higher hotel. More details to come

  • Q : What time will we be leaving on the date on the Senior Trip?
  • Answer: Buses will be pulling out at 8:00 am Friday, April 17, 2026. Students should prepare to leave before April 17th. Students will have enough time to travel home and get their items and return to the school. 
  • Students need to be back at the school by 6:45 am as we prepare to load buses and check bag.
