A story began 8 years ago…
… a story most peculiar,
full of amazing adventures,upheavals, ambitions…
…and it all sparked a fire
…a fire so strong, that it gathered many people…
…who gave it a name…

The Camplighters started exploring, looking for where to set camp.
And they landed on planet Campfire

Last year activity
For the last year there have been many ups and downs. Let’s delve into what happened in the ecosystem…
What Got Lots Of Impact?
and
as a result
We cleaned and organized our Google Drive. We put in order the folders, initiatives, documentation so that no longer one is lost when he opens it.
We improved our internal communication as some information was lost in too much notifications and noise. In Trello we will target @board only in the most important cases - when the whole Coop is affected or some action has to be taken. We also choose some call to actions that people can do, to show that they are following and are informed.
An overview of the more significant internal initiatives that happened in the Cooperative.
Much organizing such wow
We have adopted one more tool which serves us great in our projects - Miro. Most of the teams are now using it and helps us great to prototype wireframes, documentations, use cases etc.
Increased our expenses
Lots of us had a great time at the Beglika festival. We were invited also to participate and have a talk about the work we do which was a great experience.
Got connected with the universe
Started social life
One person in the card, but don’t be fooled - a lot of us jumped on the idea and started to actively do some sports.
Supported the Dev World
We gave back to the community that gives us some amazing open source products. Without them our work would be a lot harder and time consuming.
Got more secured
Co-organized our first conference
After a lot of sweat and effort of brainstorming, writing, designing, rewriting, editing, leaving comments we had it finished. It is now public and available on our website.
Finally we have a guidebook
Yup, we realized we didn’t have 2FA activated for some services for everyone. So we made sure everyone has it enabled.
We got to realize how hard and time consuming it is to organize. It was an amazing experience and we learnt a lot from it.
What went wrong?
Of course lots of things didn’t work out very well. Some of them that dived into the imaginary Cliff of Failures.
A Camplighter thinking what stupid thing to do
We made a new batch of branded t-shirts. The hype was big, the design awesome but the execution terrible. The quality of the print was really low - it didn’t look good nor will it last for long.
We pushed really hard to onboard some people to help out in the marketing of Camplight. Unfortunately we couldn’t align our visions well, nor did we have a clear idea of our goal. So we couldn’t achieve much and stopped the initiative.
We tried to do regular meetings to talk over books we choose to read. It didn’t work out well as we couldn’t align our preferences, reading speed or we just couldn’t devote the time for it.
Camplighters started looking at other bright stars. And they went on to explore the next big thing...
… and so they went on to the planet of the products
Productum (aka Camplight Products)
+
More and more people joined this planet or in other words we put a lot of work in our Products. Assista and Moodlight got the most of it and are shaping up as great tools!
Assista
Now powers 500+ boards!
…and how many are actively using it?
Our first product to be publicly released. A very exciting journey that we continue to write and explore. Assista is a bot created as a Trello Power-Up that integrates with your individual or team flow. It automatically analyzes time spent on tasks and generates a downloadable detailed report.
We are now at the start of Assista’s life outside our development environment and we have a lot of stuff to explore, assess and evolve.
Let’s talk about numbers
Number of cards for the last year:
443
Overall number of cards:
1000+!
Estimated for development and funding all time:
Overall €94,045.51
Assista got lots of love from our development team as well as funding from the fellow camplighters in terms of funding.
The time spent developing the current version in the last year.
Big part of the development effort is invested as equity - the hours are not paid, but added as ownership of Assista
Moodlight
As of the time of the Transparency Report, Moodlight was still in search of its own design identity and business processes. Things started to shape up well and the team pushed strong, by exploring new technologies, studying users behaviour and learning more about emotional intelligence.
Moneyflow
And now let’s see its new version…
The tool responsible for distributing the flow of money from projects and initiatives between camplighters, Moneyflow, was developed a long time ago and hadn’t been touched since then. We realized that in big part we have no recollections of how it was built and how it currently works. Iis interface is old, not very intuitive and debugging it would be a nightmare. So we decided it would be a good idea to brainstorm its new version from scratch.
… and still no one knows how it works
… and next up
Shared Expenses
… but it works
Built in a train journey from Varna to Sofia, it’s the tool where we organize the expenses shared between Camplighters. Almost hasn’t been touched since then...
Which months do usually projects start?
And on Camplighters continued building. They built a massive set of projects…
…and so they set at the planet of the projects.
That strangely, start on very similar dates…
March and June
An interesting trend has formed in the years. Most of our projects start either in March or June. We don’t have a big insight on why is that but it’s an interesting statistics.
Outsourcer (aka Camplight Outsourcing)

Short Projects (less than 6 months): 11
Long Projects (over 2 year): 13
All projects can be put in two groups.
For the past year all except one Camplighters has worked on some outsourcing project with our partners and clients.
The big numbers that everyone has been waiting for
Camplight again increased its turnover for the past year. We continue following the trend!
But Camplighters look even further away…… to planets most unknown.
And in some way very similar to theirs…… a whole constellation of planets…
… the CoopNet!
CoopNet (aka Camplight Network)
We got in contact with many other coops around the world that share our values and vision of the world. A real inspiration for the model of work and great opportunity to share experience and knowledge
Camplighters also did one more thing last summer…
… they defined their goals!
Goals

Last year we made a great list on one of our retreats of what everyone thinks we should strive for the rest of the year. Some of the things were achieved, others not so much.
An ongoing goal for Camplighters is to support their fellow friends and the community.
For the last year there were multiple cobudgets and donations.
Total of: 16 697.46 BGN
Donations include support for monument placement, Open Source Donations, Sponsorship for Sports Players
And the last stop for the Camplighters is always the sweetest and purest…
