  1. You will locate images from pages 1-53 that show windows into Marji’s interactions with your person, group, or institution.

  • Identify what exactly this person, group, or institution expects from Marji.

  • In Marji’s interactions with these groups of people, who has the power? How does this affect the way that Marji acts based on their expectations?

  • Does Marji ever go against these expectations? What does this suggest about how she thinks and feels about this person, group, or institution?

  • How does Marji’s identity play into the expectations other people and groups have about her? Would people expect different things of her if she was a boy?
