Tepual Airport

The approach to this project is to incorporate of four additional boarding platforms to the main terminal building, but also do a renewal of all the building complex around the terminal.

The building complex contains a firefighter building, an external customs hangar and the control tower of the airport..

Construction drawing approach.��The main structure is Steel and Concrete. This construction drawing in particular is located in the joint between the two volumes and the expansion of the project.

The main challenge solving this solution in particular was designing a tightness solution so the rainy weather in the region can be kept outside the building .

CFT Aysén

Located in Puerto Aysén. The building replicate the local structural system used in boats and vessels. This system is called “cuadernas”. The proposal aims to be a landmark within the city, a beacon where the education and local handicrafts can thrive.

This section in particular describe the inside of the building. A triple height entrance hall with a central light patio, turning into a urban window that runs though the complete project on its three levels. This Atrium receives the users offering a wide space with natural light.�In this level there there are three assembly workshops for the local crafts.

The project is located in the eastern access to the city of Puerto Aysén. Specifically at kilometer 3 of the Ch-240 route. The predominant structure is laminated wood. A single bay is proposed with a laminated wooden beam that saves 15 meters of free light, allowing a triple-height free plan where the central square is formed, which together with the waiting rooms, allow generating a more playful interior within the building.
