*You will find a Homework Log attached to this week’s newsletter. Please sign the log each day and return it by Friday.
*Please practice naming all alphabet letters (upper and lower case) at home if your child is not able to name them. I can tell who has been practicing at home. Keep up the good work and thanks for all of your help!

*Fall festival candidates for our class are Madison Milby and Brody Summers. Please support them when you can. The festival will be at the primary school on October 27th from 4:30-6:30.
*Friday, September 29th - Friday, October 6th - Fall Break-no school!
*October 12th - Fall picture retakes.
*October 12th - Kindergarten Field trip to Heavenly Haven Farms in Campbellsville, Ky. Please send in your permission slip if you haven't already done so.
*October 17th - GCPS PTO meeting beginning at 5:00.
*October 20th & 27th - I will be conducting parent teacher conferences. I will send you a note if I would like to meet with you. If you don’t receive a note but would like to meet with me, just let me know.
*October 23-27th - GCPS Book Fair! More info coming soon.

Looking Ahead
Red ribbon week is a time set aside to help students make connections between being drug free and a bright future. At the Primary and Intermediate schools we do this by having fun dress up days. Here are the days and the focus of each so that you can be planning ahead. :) October 23 - 31st
*Monday, Oct. 23 - Wear Pajamas.
*Tuesday, Oct. 24 - Wear peace signs and tie dye.
*Wednesday, Oct. 25 - Wear red.
*Thursday, Oct. 26 - Wear camouflage.
*Friday, Oct. 27 - Wear green and gold. *Monday, Oct. 30 - Wear plaid
*Tuesday, Oct. 31-Wear Halloween costumes.
