Self-Assessment
Read over each look for indicator in both practices. On a scale of 1-5 (1 being beginner, 5 being expert) rate yourself (or select one of the educators you work with if you are school leader) on each indicator. Be sure to have evidence to back up your rating.

Cultivate a Culture of Care and Learning
Systems Analysis
Think about the systems (structures/ routines) in place in your school that support each indicator. Where are your strengths? Where are your challenges?
For example, the encouragement indicator includes “routine opportunities to celebrate growth.” How is learner growth celebrated at your school and how often does that happen in individual classrooms and across the school?

Teach & Reteach Explicitly
Planning
Teacher: How could you use these instructional practice look fors during your planning, either alone or as team?
