MATH QUIZ NOTICE: Students will have a math quiz on Friday, October 2 on the concepts we have covered in class including; place value, writing numbers in standard, word, and expanded form, completing simple number patterns, and identifying the rule for a number pattern. Vocabulary words will also be included on the quiz. Make sure to review the definitions for the following words; fact family, number form, place value, pattern, skip counting, number line, and word form. Corrected worksheets are a valuable resource to use to study for this test.
Worksheet: Place Value to Hundreds: We reviewed for the upcoming Quiz tomorrow in class and we went over visuals on the Smart Board. All work MUST be shown for full credit. Word problems need to be labeled and work needs to be clearly shown. Only answers will receive partial or no credit. The process of the work is just as important as the final answer; both are needed for full credit. Please complete in pencil, neatly, with details for full points.

iReady 100: All students were given their iReady password and username. Each student glued their information onto an index card. All students were iReady index card was stapled to their assignment notebook. If a student did not have their assignment notebook, they were asked to place the notecard inside their take home folder. All students were asked to place their assignment notebook or their folder inside of their backpack to take home today.
iReady 101 All students have an index card with their password information in their homework folder.
PowerSchool: We have received PowerSchool login information for some families who have not logged into PowerSchool yet. This confidential information is being sent home via your child’s take home folder and backpack. It is not mandatory to log into PowerSchool, but it’s strongly recommended for viewing grades and if need be missed assignments. Families must set up their PowerSchool account on a desktop computer and NOT on the phone, it will not work being set up on the phone. An instructional letter is being sent home for only those who are not logged in or haven’t viewed.
***Reminder*** Please do NOT throw away your Scholastic News articles. We use each article for about a week or two, and we do not usually have extras or spares. If your SCholastic News article is lost or misplaced, please reach out to a peer’s family and ask for photographs of the article, please print out and replace the lost article.
Field Trip Permission Slips: Each student was given a field trip permission slip. Please sign and return with payment by October 8th. The cost of the field trip will be $22 per student. We will be going with the fourth and fifth graders to Allstate Arena for an educational Chicago Wolves experience; entitled “Get Schooled by Skates”
Sunday Mass: We are in need of greeters for Sunday’s Mass & Mingle. If your and your child will be attending please reach out so I can share your child’s name down for a possible greeter. ~Thank You~

Social Studies 100/101: Each student was randomly assigned an influential Hispanic American. Each student will need to bring in an article or an easy reader or picture book of their assigned influential Hispanic American, and a 4x6 photograph of their influential Hispanic American
