A WINNING STRATEGY FOR THE DISPLACED AND ORPHANED UKRAINIAN CHILDREN
(Stage 2 report)
About the Program
“From trauma to psychological and social rehabilitation” Program aims to provide psychological assistance to children in Cherkasy and Cherkasy region (with special attention to children whose parents died in the war and internally displaced persons).
It achieves its goals with the use of art therapy and fairy tale therapy sessions, as well as by providing consultations from psychologist experts. We planned to help as many young residents of Cherkasy as possible to overcome their psychological traumas.
As a result – and with generous support from our donors – our group of volunteers delivered two series of events under the 2nd stage of the program: Holiday treats and the Main Program (group classes).
Please mind that it is only an preliminary report, and a final is coming by the end of May, 2024.

This girl survived the first days of the war in Mariupol.
She saw suffering and death.
Closed in herself.
She sat quietly throughout the performance, and then approached St. Nicholas and tried to recite a poem.
The mother of this child thanked all of us for the fact that the child started to smile and went on stage by herself.

We assist children in overcoming emotional distress, psycho-traumatic experiences, aggression, anxiety, and fears, while also helping them tackle challenges and address negative behavior patterns,”
