Coconut mite damage:

Coconut mite (Aceria guerreronis ) is the most destructive pest among various species of eriophyid mites affecting coconut palm in 30 countries of Tropical America, Africa and Asia.

Not effected by mite : ~180 Kg of dry copra from ~1000 Coconuts

Effected by mite: ~70 Kg of dry copra from ~1000 Coconuts

Salt, neem leaves

5kg of rock salt

Dig the area 2feet deep around the tree pour the salt and neem leaves.

Over come from chlorine deficiency which leads more yield.

 

Jeevamrutha

100 lit water,

10 kg cow dung, 10 lit cow urine, 2 kg jaggery and 2 kg of pulse flour mix this solution well with wooden stick.

After fermentation for 5 to 7 days, apply this solution to the roots of the tree once in twenty days.

It assists in the rapid development of soil fertility by increasing the activity of soil microflora and fauna. It helps in plant growth by providing immunity and helps maintaining soil pH 5-7.

 

Neem oil

Water, neem oil and liquid soap

Use a pump sprayer to cover flowers and small fruits.

Neem oil controls infestation and avoid spreading of pests.

 

Yellow sticky trap sheets

Yellow paper with gum

Stick to the tree.

Pests like fungus gnats, thrips, whiteflies, aphids, psyllids and sharpshooters captured by yellow sticky trap.
