DAILY SCHEDULE

Door 17, the gym patio doors, will be open for all students at 7:20 a.m.
Students may enter door 17 for breakfast at 7:10 a.m.
Students must be in homeroom by 7:30 a.m.
School ends at 2:30 p.m.

Daily Bell Schedules

The lunch period is 42 minutes. It’s split between a 20 minute lunch and a 20 minute study hall in the Lecture Hall.

Students have 4 minutes in between class periods.

Vaping

Vaping is the one of the biggest issues we face daily.
Automatic 3 day out-of-school suspension the first offense. Consequences will increase for each offense.
Bathrooms and locker rooms are equipped with vape sensors.
There are resources at school for students who want to quit.
Check your child’s belongings regularly.

CELL PHONE POLICY

House Bill 96 - prohibits student cellular telephone use in public schools.
Effective at the start of last school year, students will will not be permitted to use cell phones during the instructional school day. This includes lunch and study hall.
Cell phones must be turned off and kept in the students backpack.
Exceptions will be made for students will health concerns or learning needs as identified in the IEP or 504 plan.

** A 2nd violation in the year will require a parent/guardian to pick it up from the HS office during school hours **

LOCKERS

Students are not assigned a locker.
However, students may request to have a locker. The request should be made to the high school office.

ATTENDANCE

Please bring a note when you return from an absence with the following information

First and last name
Date of the absence
Reason for the absence
Students may bring their attendance note in the morning to Mrs. Shimko in the gym lobby. Enter door 17.
Students who arrive after 7:30 must enter door 1 and report to the office.

If you know you will be absent in advance, please complete a pre approved absence form and return it to the attendance officer, Mrs. Shimko (located in the main office).

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

There are NO high school supply lists.

To start off, freshmen should have pencils and pens, paper, and a folder for each one of their classes.

WHAT DO I DO ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL?

Enter door 17 and report to your homeroom class by 7:30 a.m.

Students will be in homeroom until 9:30 a.m. and then run an adjusted schedule the remainder of the day.
In homeroom you will discuss the student code of conduct, learn the emergency procedures, receive Chromebooks, accept the student Canvas course, and attend the class meeting.
Mr. Bartholomew will lead the class meeting presentation in the WMS auditorium
Homeroom lists will be posted in the gym lobby and outside the main office.

*You will report to your 1^st period class beginning on August 21^st.

All students may receive a free breakfast & lunch (continuation of last year’s policy)
Students will receive their Chromebooks on the first day of school with their homeroom teacher

- Any damages incurred throughout the year will be assessed to students’ accounts under fees
