Video Presentations

  • John MacCarther – Disciples are learners – Discipleship is teaching/sharing what we have learned as Disciples of Christ
  • Tony Evans – We do not disciple others by our own power – The power is given to us by God as we teach and share
  • Kirt Cameron and Ken Baugh – We cannot “give our faith away”. Only the Holy Spirit can change hearts but we in partnership with the Holy Spirit can ”make others hungry for what we have”. We can’t make the seed grow but we can till the soil, water the seed and create the environment for growth!

Indoctrination Faith

”These are the people who, without making a personal commitment to Christ, go through all the motions, sing all the right hymns, have all the right answers about the gospel.” They have all the answers but that is all they have - ”head faith”!

Three Kinds of Faith

Conformity Faith

”This faith is largely the outgrowth of strong Christian surroundings.” On Sunday they go to church, during the week they attend meetings and participate in church activities. They may do all of the right things and none of the wrong things, but only because of external pressure.

Three Kinds of Faith

Commitment Faith

This is a saving faith born of the Spirit from above. They are genuine followers of Jesus Christ and are committed to him on a “double-or-nothing basis! They recognize that to be a Christian is more than giving mental assents to the facts about the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a “living faith”. A faith resulting from a “changed heart”
