Neetu has been an excellent mentor. She has taught me to plan out my project and the pros and cons to each path I could take for my project. I feel that she’s been very flexible and this program has been running smoothly thanks to her.

My project is a website that encourages people to help planet earth out and spreads awareness of the environmental problems that are occurring here. It also has two interviews that show other people’s opinions on what is going on as well as the very video that got me inspired into environmental care.

My MAGICal Experience

  • Started thinking about coding
  • Was inspired by a video on the environment and decided to create a website on this topic
  • Through the summer, I realized that I was more interested in video editing rather than coding the actual website
  • Worked a great amount on wire framing- I’ve learned that structure is a vital need for creating a website

Working with Yash has been a very cool experience. She has helped me to learn some of the basics of python as well as inspiring me on the subject of coding!

  • I learned were important keywords in python such as define, and print.
  • I also learned how to use the basic functions of a laptop
  • It was also cool to learn how to develop a backend with a frontend
    • I created a web app using python and HTML to turn the web app from very basic to colorful and interesting.
