It is a forgivable loan, not a scholarship.
You must be a certified teacher, employed at least half time and a Nebraska resident to qualify.
Agree to work in an approved or accredited Nebraska school for a certain length of time in order to repay the loan. You are committing to at least four years, maybe more depending on how much you borrow and your school demographics.
Pays for up to $3000 of tuition per year ($175 per credit hour). (This could be almost all if you take 1 class per semester or half if you take two.)
Funds are renewable up to five years.
Applications are typically accepted in April. Funds are awarded in September.�
Applicants should work WITH the university advisor to complete the application process
