  • It is a forgivable loan, not a scholarship.
  • You must be a certified teacher, employed at least half time and a Nebraska resident to qualify.
  • Agree to work in an approved or accredited Nebraska school for a certain length of time in order to repay the loan. You are committing to at least four years, maybe more depending on how much you borrow and your school demographics.
  • Pays for up to $3000 of tuition per year ($175 per credit hour). (This could be almost all if you take 1 class per semester or half if you take two.)
  • Funds are renewable up to five years.
  • Applications are typically accepted in April. Funds are awarded in September.�
  • Applicants should work WITH the university advisor to complete the application process
