HOW TO PLAN A CAMPOUT

TROOP 150 ANNUAL PLANNING MEETING EDITION

What is it?

Provide a brief description of the campout and why we would want to go on it. Make sure to mention any age requirements or if there are a limited number of spaces.

Example: Virginia’s LARGEST Quilt Shop is fun for all scouts! With over 6,000 bolts of fabric and a large selection of Batiks and reproduction fabrics! There is even an onsite sewing machine and long arm repair by appointment. We can take many interesting classes such as quilting, sewing, and embroidering. It is also located near Historic Dayton and the Virginia Quilt Museum. All scouts can attend this campout.

Cost

Provide a base estimate of the cost of the activity and the camping.

Example: Patchwork Plus Quilt Shop is free to enter and camping would be around $4 per scout.

Distance and Travel Time

Make sure to factor in the time it takes to travel to the campout and provide this information to the Troop when presenting your idea.
