OUR MISSION AND BACKGROUND
EC Reems Community Services is a 501 (c) 3 non- profit public benefit corporation. The organization was founded in 1989 to address the need for health, education, life skills, and workforce development programs in the East Bay community.
OUR Executive Director
Our Executive Director, Pastor Maria Reems, wife, mother of three daughters and co-pastor of the Center of Hope Community Church in Oakland California serves alongside her husband, Pastor Brondon Reems. She is an anointed dynamic speaker, preacher and teacher. In addition she is a professional consultant and has the added responsibility of providing services including community relations training to non-profit and for-profit organizations.

LIVE LIFE WELL PROGRAM�OBJECTIVE 1
By June 30, 2025, At least 15% (n=360) of single-family households and individual family homes that are members of partnered faith organizations and currently lack a voluntary or legally imposed smoke-free policy will sign a voluntary "smoke-free policy" for their homes. The households will be predominantly African American and Black residents in Alameda County with a focus on the City of Oakland.
LIVE LIFE WELL PROGRAM�OBJECTIVE 3
At least 12 faith community organizations in Alameda County will adopt and implement a voluntary policy that designates their events and grounds as smoke-free, including the use of electronic smoking devices (ESDs), as demonstrated by 50% increase in observed signage and 50% decrease in observed incidence of smoking and tobacco litter among faith organizations.
LIVE LIFE WELL PROGRAM�OBJECTIVE 4
At least 10 local or state elected officials from Alameda County will sign a pledge to not accept campaign contributions from tobacco and/or electronic smoking device (ESD) companies and their subsidiaries.
