AFRICA
Chobe National Park, national preserve, northern Botswana. The preserve, which acquired national park status in 1968, borders Namibia and touches Zimbabwe and Zambia, covering 4,500 square miles (11,700 square km). It is noted for its wildlife, particularly its large elephant population.
NORTH AMERICA
Glacier National Park, park in southeastern British Columbia, Canada, lying in the heart of the Selkirk Mountains, within the great northern bend of the Columbia River, east of Revelstoke. Established in 1886, it occupies an area of 521 square miles (1,349 square km).
SOUTH AFRICA
Garden Route National Park, national park in Eastern Cape and Western Cape provinces, South Africa. The park, established in 2009, covers more than 450 square miles (1,200 square km) of land and comprises the former Wilderness and Tsitsikamma national parks as well as additional nearby areas.

Gran Paradiso National Park, park in northwestern Italy, established in 1836 as a hunting zone; in 1856 it became the Royal Hunting Reserve of the Gran Paradiso, and by a law passed in August 1947, the park received “autonomous organization” status. The park covers an area of 153,240 ac (62,000 ha) and extends along the upper Valle d’Aosta region at an elevation of about 3,000 to 13,000 ft (1,200 to 4,100 m). The terrain is typically alpine, with numerous glaciers, coniferous tree lined slopes, and alpine meadows and pastures scattered with rocks and scree.
Mount Aspiring National Park, park, west-central South Island, New Zealand. Established in 1964, it has an area of 1,373 square miles (3,555 square km). Embracing a substantial area of the Southern Alps, it is bounded by the Olivine and Haast ranges (west), Mataketake and Thomas ranges (north), Young Range (east), and Richardson and Harris mountains (southeast). The park’s northern boundary is the Haast River, and in the south it is bounded by Fiordland National Park.
Nahanni National Park, National park, southwestern Northwest Territories, Canada. Established in 1972, it occupies an area of 1,177,700 acres (476,968 hectares). Its central feature is the South Nahanni River, a tributary of the Liard River; it flows southeast from the Mackenzie Mountains and is 350 mi (563 km) long. The park also contains three large canyons and a variety of birds, wildlife, and flowers.

The TENNESSEE AQUARIUM is located in Chattanooga. It is one of the most popular attractions in the city. Other places to visit in Chattanooga include a children’s museum, art museums, the Bessie Smith Cultural Center (an African American museum), and the Chattanooga Zoo.
There are over 12 exhibits at this BOSTON AQUARIUM. One of the most popular is the Trust Family Foundation Touch Tank—the largest aquarium touch tank on the East Coast where you can touch live rays up close. Other popular exhibits include the Indo-Pacific Coral Reef showcasing the diverse tropical “rainforest of the sea.” And penguins, yes, penguins in Boston! The aquarium’s Penguin Colony is home to around 50 penguins being rehabilitated and treated at a time, and one of the more popular exhibits.
