FRIENDS
A friend is someone we turn towhen our spirits need a lift.A friend is someone we treasurefor our friendship is a gift.A friend is someone who fills our liveswith beauty, joy, and grace. And makes the whole world we live ina better and happier place.
THE MIRACLE OF FRIENDSHIP
There is a miracle called Friendshipthat dwells within the heartand you don't know how it happensor when it even starts. But the happiness it brings youalways gives a special liftand you realize that Friendshipis God's most precious gift.
EDGAR A GUEST
A FRIEND´S GREETING
I'd like to be the sort of friend thatyou have been to me;I'd like to be the help thatyou've been always glad to be;I'd like to mean as much to youeach minute of the dayAs you have meant, old friend of mine,to me along the way.I'd like to do the big things andthe splendid things for you,To brush the gray from out your skiesand leave them only blue;I'd like to say the kindly things thatI so oft have heard,And feel that I could rouse your soulthe way that mine you've stirred.I'd like to give you back the joythat you have given me,Yet that were wishing you a needI hope will never be;I'd like to make you feel as rich as I,who travel onUndaunted in the darkest hours with you tolean upon.I'm wishing at this time that Icould but repayA portion of the gladness thatyou've strewn along my way;And could I have one wish this year, this only would it be:I'd like to be the sort of friendthat you have been to me.
NO MATTER WHERE YOU GO AND HOW YOU ARE FRIENDSHIP WILL LAST FOREVER!!!!
HENRY WADSWORTH LONGFELLOW
ANOTHER FRIENDSHIP POEM
I shot an arrow into the air,It fell to earth, I knew not where; For so swiftly it flew, the sightCould not follow it in its flight. I breathed a song into the air,It fell to earth, I knew not where; For, who has sight so keen and strongThat it can follow the flight of song? Long, long afterward, in an oakI found the arrow, still unbroke; And the song, from beginning to end,I found again in the heart of a friend.BY: HENRY WADSWORTH LONGFELLOW (1807-1882)

FRIENDSHIP
From the departure of all worriesRefreshing beams from a sourceIn a new way with a bloomEvery passing moment is with thisNo more troubles and no more painDestined for this path only to gainSailing through the winds on this threadHiking through the perils of this worldIt's a relationship with your friendsPassage and shelter, from all trends

On Gifts For Grace
I saw a great teapot
I wanted to get you this stupendous 100% cotton royal blue and black checked shirt,
There was a red and black striped one too Then
I saw these boots at a place called Chuckles
They laced up to about two inches above your ankles
All leather and in red, black or purple
It was hard to have no money today
I won't even speak about the possible flowers and kinds of lingerie
All linen and silk with not-yet-perfumed laces
Brilliant enough for any of the
Graces Full of luxury, grace notes, prosperousness and charm
But I can only praise you with this poem—
Its being is the same as the meaning of your name

Your Catfish Friend
If I were to live my life
in catfish forms
in scaffolds of skin and whiskers
at the bottom of a pond and you were to come by
one evening
when the moon was shining
down into my dark home
and stand there at the edge
of my affection
and think, "It's beautiful
here by this pond. I wish
somebody loved me,"
I'd love you and be your catfish
friend and drive such lonely
thoughts from your mind
and suddenly you would be
at peace,
and ask yourself, "I wonder
if there are any catfish
in this pond? It seems like
a perfect place for them.“

My Favorite Friend ...
I was strolling though the park,
When I came upon a girl my age.
She was staring at the ducks swimming by.
I questioned her,
"What is your favorite animal?"
She turned to me and answered,
"I adore puppies;
The way they jump up to greet you,
They are so happy and bouncy."
She tilted her head and asked me,
"Do you have favorite animals?"
I sat down next to her,
"I like pigs,
Not any type of pig,
But the kind nobody likes;
The neglected pigs that have no one to care for them."
We walked over to the swings.
I found out her favorite color was green;
Mint green with a frosty tinge.
I told her my favorite color was blue;
The kind of blue that hangs in the sky --
Slowly fading to a navy night blue.
Her favorite taste to savor
Is fresh vegetable soup,
With a lot of potatoes,
Just baked,
Floating around in it.
Mine is the taste of warm milk with honey dribbled in it;
You drink it right before you climb into bed.
LHer favorite smell-
Are ruby red roses,
Sprinkled with morning dew.
Mine is the smell of
Freshly picked fruit,
ying in a bowl.
She lay down on the emerald grass,
And looked at the sky
She told me her favorite season was autumn
Because it was a time for thanks and giving.
And golden rusty orange leaves drifting to the ground.
My favorite season is snowy winter up in the north,
Crystal snowflakes settle on my tongue.
I love making snow angels.
I picked up a pretty flower,
And she asked me,
"Do you have a hobby?
What is your favorite one?"
I thought for a moment
And then I told her,
S"I love to collect teddy bears,
Old ones, new ones, soft, fuzzy,
Any bear that is in need of a home
Can always come with me!"
She said her favorite hobby was to sleep the night away,
To rest after a hard day's work.
The girl told me her favorite sound
he loves to wake up to the friendly twittering of sparrows.
I love the sound of fresh water
Trickling down a small stream.
Since we were on the "sound" topic,
My new friend asked me what my favorite type of music was.
I told her I liked pop
Because it has a beat that you love to dance and sing to.
She said she liked classical music
Because it could be sad and haunting
Or it could be long and beautiful.
Her eyes wandered to a lone pine tree,
"Do you like Christmas?"
She questioned me.
"Yes, it is my favorite holiday!"
I explained to her.
"You spend the holiday with your family and friends,
TAnd eat good Christmas dinners.
"What is your favorite holiday?"
She paused a moment before answering,
And when you look up
he sun is waving goodbye to you
In its mny arms of orange, pink, red, blue and yellow.
I looked at my friend,
"It is getting late,
I had better run home.
Maybe you and I will meet again!"
And so we said farewell,
And parted our separate ways
Hoping to find the otherAt the park
The next time
"Chanukah
Because you can spend eight whole days with your friends and family,
And have feasts every night!"
I looked up at the sky,
I asked my new friend what her favorite time of day was.
She said it was in the early morning,
When the air is crisp,
And the grass sparkling with dew.
Dusk, I told her, was my favorite time of day,
Because the air is cool,
