We are pleased to present our carefully crafted leaflet designed to help new Year Six students transition smoothly into their first year at Leigh Academy Blackheath (LAB). This project aims to provide a comprehensive yet accessible guide to the essential rules and expectations that form the foundation of our school community.

Our goal is to ensure that incoming students are well-informed and prepared for their secondary school journey. This leaflet covers various aspects, including uniform requirements, classroom behavior, the LAB values etc.. By clearly outlining these guidelines, we hope to foster a sense of security and belonging among our new students from the very beginning.

We believe that a structured introduction to our school rules will not only ease the transition for Year Six students but also promote a positive and respectful learning environment. The information is presented in a student-friendly manner, making it easy for young learners to understand and follow.

Implementation:

We used the school website as our primary resource for the leaflet ( for the expectations, rules, uniform etc), and then we used our own ideas and experiences to aid the year 7s through secondary school in a simplistic manner so they feel safe & accommodated.
