Humanities

Year 7

Mr Pierre, Mr Sulayman, Mr Saleem & Mr Femi

1

In Humanities we focus on three key areas: Geography, History and embedded Global Perspectives within these topics.

These areas provide the opportunity for students ask questions that will help them to understand better the world around them, and gain insights into how events and features are connected across both time and space.

Throughout the year we seek to develop 7 key skills that run through the curriculum, which also serve as our standards: Research - Analysis - Evaluation - Communication - Collaboration - Subject Literacy

We assess individual progress in each of these skills through a variety of methods: short tests and quizzes, ongoing classwork submissions, verbal participation, and project work.
