Parker solar probe was announced in 2009 named after the respected science man Dr. Eugene N. Parker.

This Project has several objects like solving the mystery of the acceleration of the solar wind, the continuous flow of matter out of the star or the very high temperature in the corona etc.
Well, of course this project didn’t go smooth at all times. Like venus’ gravity created some problems which later on parker solar probe used to it’ advantage, and most of the other space events like space dust, solar winds etc.

Entering the korona layer was also a problem on it’s own. The Korana is the outermost layer of a star’s atmosphere so It consist of plasma. And the temperature is around a couple million degrees. But luckily the density of this layer wasn’t much so the transfered heat was around a couple thousand degrees. As a result we learned more about the sun with Parker Solar Probe.
