Practice

  • Monday-Friday: Practice begins at 3:35
  • Athletes must attend each practice.
  • If an athlete is going to be late or miss practice, they must inform the head coach or their primary coach.
      • Throws: Coach Just/Coach Woods
      • Jumps: Coach Fox
      • Distance: Coach Roderick
      • Sprints: Coach Williams
  • Athletes who miss 2 practices unexcused (no reason/no communication) will be dismissed from the team.

Track Meet Day

  • Athletes will compete in the events they are signed up for on meet day.
  • The primary coach and the head coach will make the final decision that allows an athlete to scratch an event.
  • Athletes will have the option to leave a meet after their final event if they are signed out by a parent or legal guardian and ride home with that person.

Destructive Behavior Policy

  • Athletes must abstain from the use of alcohol, illegal substances, prescription drugs not prescribed to that athlete, and tobacco products (including e-cigs, juul products & pods) while a member of the MHS Track Team.
  • Knowledge by the coaching staff of use of above products by an athlete while a team member may result in a meet suspension or dismissal from the team.

Physical/Concussion Form

  • Athletes must have a signed physical form and concussion form on file with the office in order to participate.
  • Athletes must also have a medical emergency card on file with the head coach.
