The Story Last Time
Uncle Scrooge has made a deal with one of the Larkies.
He pretends to like her food during the cooking contest, and in return, she agrees to help him escape.
But later, she feels worried about what the other Larkies will do, and she tricks Uncle Scrooge and Donald into an ambush.
We’ve been tricked into an ambush!
Get back to the tunnel, quick!
Bomb them, girls! Hee! Hee! Hee!
We’re going to have to surrender!
They’re bombing us with parsnips! That’s uncivilized warfare!
But other ears have also heard the echoes!
That was Uncle Scrooge and Uncle Donald! They’re in trouble!
To the rescue, men!
We’ll never find them in the blind alleys of the palace!
Our only hope is to go over the roofs!
Well! Would you look at that!
Larkies flying formations like dive bombers!
Jason had the winged sons of Boreas to help him whip the Larkies!
We haven’t any winged sons, but we have some mighty good wingers!
Rockets! With pin wheel war heads!
Don’t aim to hit them--just scare them!
Brother! We did scare them!
But the Larkies rally!
Don’t let them save old McDuck! Drive them away!
They’re loading up with handfuls of rocks!
Formation two-four-two! Dive angle thirty degrees!
They don’t scare any more!
We’ll have to aim to hit their wing feathers!
No! No! They are ladies and we can’t shoot rockets at ladies!
Then we’ll have to use our super secret weapon!
Yes! Press the release valve!
Voom!
Mice, girls!
Squeech!
Mice!
Eek!
Squeech! Yipe! Yelp! Screech!
Hee! Hee! Hee!
Who on earth could have come along to save us?
Must have been the marines!
Not the marines, Uncle Scrooge!
Troop one of the Duckburg Patrol of the Junior Woodchucks of the world!
The kids’ victory clears the way to reach the Golden Fleece!
The course is simple! We find the Fleece by shouting and listening for the echoes!
Phooey on the echoes! We have floodlights and a compass! Follow us and save your wind!
So, with the kids’ expert guidance, Uncle Scrooge finds the fabulous treasure that has been believed a myth since the days of the ancients!

Oh, boy! Oh, boy! All the golden wool I need for a coat!
(Smack! Smack!)
I wonder if this wool really did grow on a flying ram!
We can wonder about that later!
Right now, we better get out of here!
We’re at a dead end, and the only way out is back the way we came!
You’re right! Let’s get outside, where I can look at this material in the daylight!
