(清水) He can’t look the step, so he may slip.�(安藤) The stairs look steep, which may cause one to take a misstep.� →（言い換え）The steps are so steep that one might fall down.� ●階段 stairs / steps / staircase

↑ロンドンのTubeでは”段差に気を付けてください”を”Mind the gap”と言いますね（山田）

(山田)　The floor is wet or he might slip.

　　　 Carrying a large box with both hands that block his vision.

(西村) He is about to step on the paper on the stairs because of his carelessness. 「踏む」という単語が思いつかず調べました。階段の上の書類を踏む、ということでonが2回になって気になります

(清水) She may inhale the gas.

(安藤) Chemical splash might get into their[one’s] eyes. ※singularなtheirをあえて使ってみました。

(西村) The chemicals might are warmed by the sunlight through the window.

She may suck the unconscious gas because she doesn’t operate this procedure with a fume hood. ※[ドラフトで作業]はwith? in?

（山田）She's not wearing safety glasses.

Exercise 3- Answer / Memo

(山田)He goes down the stairs with his hands in his pockets. He’s not using handrails.

　　　→He may slip on the stairs. He can’t put his hands out when he slips.

His working trousers is too long.

　　　→He may fall on stairs, which causes serious injuries.

(清水)His hands are in the pocket, so he can’t use them in case he fall down the stairs.
