Welcome to Givens Elementary!

We look forward to meeting you.

Givens PTO is made up of parents from the Givens Community who volunteer their time to help create a community for students, staff and parents. We fundraise approximately $22,000 throughout the year in order to:

  1. Create a community through all-school events: Welcome Back Bash, Bounce House days, Winter Dance, Trivia Night, and an end of year party.
  2. Support students by financially assisting with field trips, after-school clubs and the art fair.
  3. Assist teachers through teacher grants, library support, conference meals and staff recognition.
  4. Execute on larger, future initiatives like playground equipment, courtyard design, artist murals, etc.

We raise money a variety of ways:

  1. Read-a-Thon
  2. Dine-out events (local restaurants donate a portion of sales from one night directly to Givens)
  3. Shopping events (local shops donate a portion of sales from one night directly to Givens)
  4. Trivia Night (our biggest fundraiser of the year!)
  5. Direct donations

Start thinking about how you can help the Givens Community!

There are many ways you can help, depending on your interest level:

  1. Volunteer at school events.
  2. Join a committee for any one of our larger fundraising events.
  3. Be a room parent to help plan three class parties throughout the year.
  4. Join the PTO Board.

What’s Next?

  • Closer to the start of the new school year, we’ll create a class Facebook page: “Givens Class of 2031.”
  • Join our PTO Facebook page now to get a sense of what’s coming: “Givens Elementary PTO - Parents, Guardians, Caregivers, Faculty, & Staff.”
  • Look out for a Givens welcome sign in your front yard at the beginning of the school year.
  • Join us after drop off on the first day of school for the BooHoo, WooHoo Breakfast. Details will be provided closer to the breakfast.
