Letterland

Unit 29 More Consonant doubling: -ed

Examples of words with these sounds:

stop → stopped plan→ planned

seem→ seemed loan→ loaned

Please be sure to have your student focus on practicing the spelling patterns of these words, rather than memorizing.

Reading

We will read and compare nonfiction texts to learn about why people should protect pollinators. The students will begin a nonfiction writing piece to explain why pollinators are endangered and why we should protect them.

Math

We will begin our unit on money. Students will work on counting coins up to $1 and solving problems that involve whole dollar amounts.

Social Studies

We will begin our unit on geography and the environment. We will examine maps and focus on relative and absolute location.
