History of Turkey

• The first king of Turkey was Osman 1 who ruled from 1299 to 1326. The current President of Turkey is Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

How the economy is developing in Turkey?

• Turkey dominates the production of hazelnuts (when on holiday in Turkey, it is worth buying Turkish dried fruit). Other products include pistachios, walnuts, almonds and chestnuts. The Mediterranean region specializes in the production of citrus fruits, as well as grapes.

Turkish Culture

• Turkish are a hospitable and sociable people. An invitation for dinner or tea should not surprise anyone – the locals have access to foreigners and are very willing to start a conversation. Their culture has been shaped over many years and is exceptionally rich.

Turkey's climate

• Turkey lies in a subtropical climate, and the occurrence occurs in the marine variety. In the regulated period, there are very high temperatures ranging from 30 to 35 degrees in the south - the controlled and warmest month is July.

Turkish Cuisine

• Turkish cuisine is primarily a variety of flavor combinations, which include fresh vegetables and sheep as well as rice and groats. The most recognizable groats available here are bulgur. Add spices such as cinnamon, cumin, chili, black cumin and herbs - coriander, mint or parsley.

Fun facts:

The highest volcano in Turkey is Aragac which is (4095 m above sea level)

Istanbul is located on two continents: Europe and Asia.

Monuments in Turkey

• The most important include Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, the Walls of Theodosius and the Galata Tower.

Our experience:

• We visited the mosque and went to the Turkish school where we met new friends.

Benefits of Travel

• What we gained from the project was recpect for other cultures and religions and new friendships. What i liked most was learning about the culture and customus related to it and making new friend
