Emergency Preparedness Wing

Spiritual Preparation

In today’s murli (Sunday 13th April 2025, original date 31st Dec. 2004),

BapDada asks us to reflect on four key aspects of intense effort-making:

To be an instrument—In service, in my stage, in my relationships and connections, in all my activities, do I see myself as an instrument of God, serving in His task? - Nimit

To practice humility—Am I able to remain humble, free from the consciousness of “I” and “mine,” even in its royal and subtle forms? - Nirman

To be an instrument for renewal—Am I ready to constantly renew myself, shedding the old and embracing the new to order to renew the world? - Nirmaan

To be beyond sound—Am I able to rise above the noise of worldly distractions and reach a state of peace and stillness to reach the land beyond sound? - Nirvana

Can I stay in this stage of being beyond sound in order to also liberate the souls of the world who are crying out for liberation?

Do I have all these four aspects in practical life to be an intense effort-maker?

Let us sit comfortably…

Begin by taking a deep, slow breath in… and breathe out softly.

Feel your body relax completely.

Let the mind become quiet, light, and free.

Now, in your mind’s eye, visualize a soft, beautiful light above you — the Light of Bapdada.

Feel His gaze… full of mercy and unconditional love… resting upon you.

In this gaze, there is no judgment — only deep understanding and love.

Allow your heart to absorb this pure, healing light.

Feel yourself becoming lighter, purer, more peaceful.

Gently expand your vision outward…

Visualize the souls of the world — many searching for peace, many tired, many yearning for liberation.

Even nature itself longs for renewal.

Feel mercy arising within you — a deep wish to bring peace to every soul, to soothe the tiredness of the earth.

Now, softly ask yourself:

What small concerns still bind me to the old world?

What distractions still occupy space in my mind?

See yourself gently releasing these things, one by one.

Remember…I am a free soul. I am detached and loving.

I belong to Baba, and Baba belongs to me.

Feel your inner attitude becoming vast and unlimited — filled with disinterest from waste and attraction to the pure.

In your mind’s eye, see a beautiful golden key shining in your hand — the key of unlimited disinterest.

Know that this key opens the gates of liberation for yourself and for the world.

Visualize yourself standing before the world, offering this light, this key, to all.

Now, come into the awareness of being a point of light — a soul.

In one second, put a full stop to all other thoughts.

Remember: I am a soul. I am Baba’s. Baba is mine.

Rest for a few moments in this sweet, silent awareness.

Go-To Emergency Bag: Be Prepared for Any Situation

1

As per latest scientific news from UN Climate and Biodiversity Conferences, the planet is at the brink of collapse. Such a disaster can disrupt essential services such as water and food supplies, electricity, healthcare, sewage/garbage removal, transportation and communications.

We are all aware about the time we are living in. So, it makes sense to be prepared mentally and physically as best as possible.

Be Ready - Be Steady - Stay Calm

Why Do You Need an Emergency Bag?

2

Emergencies often demand immediate evacuation or shelter-in-place actions, leaving little to no time for gathering supplies. An emergency bag ensures that:

    • You have access to basic necessities, such as food, water, and medical supplies.
  • You can respond quickly and efficiently, reducing stress during chaotic situations.
  • You are better equipped to handle disruptions to essential services, such as electricity, clean water, and communication networks.

Emergency Bag vs. Bug-Out Bag vs. Car Kit

4

Emergency Bag: For short-term, immediate use (a few hours).

Is meant to help you return home or to a safe location after an emergency.

It is usually smaller and lighter, making it easier to carry quickly and for longer periods.

Bug-Out Bag (BOB): More comprehensive for long-term survival (upto 72 hrs.)

It contains more supplies and is designed to sustain you if you need to evacuate your home and reach a safe location.

Car Emergency Kit: Focuses on road safety (jumper cables, tools, etc.).

Where Should You Keep It?

5

Since you do not know where you will be when an emergency occurs, prepare supplies for:

    • Home
    • Work
    • Your car(s)

9 of 28

Where Should You Keep It?

6

HOME

Keep this kit in a designated place and have it ready in case you have to leave your home quickly.

Make sure all family members know where the kit is kept.

AT WORK

Be prepared to shelter at work for at least 24 hours. Your work kit should include food, water and other necessities like medicines, as well as comfortable walking shoes, stored in a “grab and go” case.

IN YOUR CAR

In case you are stranded, keep a kit of emergency supplies in your car.
