PROJECT OVERVIEW

Designing a deployable crop production system capable of supporting the nutritional requirements of a crew is not impossible. The system to be made should be efficient enough for a crew of 4 to 6 and has to be compatible of saving and producing the nutritional requirements completely. Firstly, size storage must not have a large volume space so the mass of the system will be not that high as it will include healthy food and seeds so materials will be chosen are very critical. Then, as the system will include seeds and plants so there should be a certain gasses like CO2 therefore system may can be isolated.

DETAILED PROJECT DESCRIPTION

  • During a space travel, crew must have the complete nutritional requirements in their body so they can maintain health and stay focused during the travel. Our idea is to design a type of box for each type of seed with a visible material and a technology that will maintain and read the air inside the box and display the condition of the seeds for example, how much oxygen, carbon dioxide, percentage of how healthy are the seeds and the water they get, etc.

HACKATHON JOURNEY

  • We were inspired by the idea from NASA that crew members must have the full nutritional requirements needed for their health and that when we started the idea of storing the seeds in Hight technology boxes that have sensors to read and display the condition of the seeds. and Its a great pleasure to have this chance to provide our opportunity to the world from our small city.
