Teens that Make a Difference

Hi grade 8 students!

You are going to be working on a project until the end of the year. You can work in pairs.

You will be doing a project on teens that make a difference in this world.

Age doesn’t matter when it comes to doing something, however small to make the world a better place. You will find out about different teens and what makes them so special. You will find out about different ways you can make a difference and you will create your own “Make the World a Better Place Starting at Home” program that might just make it out into the world. So let’s get started. You will do one slide a week and in the end you will have completed 10 Google Slides.

Start small.

You don’t have to do big stuff to make a difference. Watch this clip that shows small acts of kindness.

Watch this clip about how Ruby Tizie got going on doing something about what she believed in, spreading kindness. Kindness is one of those qualities you can have and do something with right in your own home.

How can you spread kindness?

Write a list of 10 things you can do and see if you can do them for one day, two, maybe even a whole week.
