What to think about when considering courses to take
Will you be able to attend practices, rehearsals, games, while also keeping up with your studies? Do you have outside-of -school commitments that you need to factor in? Know the expectations of each program/class. Students taking high school credit classes must meet the 90% attendance requirement in addition to passing the class to earn credit (Texas law).
Are you able to commit to the time requirements of a program/class?
You are capable! It’s okay to step-up your game and push yourself out of your comfort zone. At the same time, balance feels best. Try to find that ‘just right’ spot. You challenge yourself, but also have time to relax and recharge.
Are you challenging yourself enough?
What are your interests and goals?
MIddle school is a time to explore your interests and find your passions. Don’t be afraid to try something new! What electives fit your future goals?
Welcome to Naviance!
